I’m about 1/3 of the way through. It’s brilliant. Everything is carefully explained without any jargon, the tone is direct and calm, it’s so well written that I don’t even need to do any work, it all just pours into me. A triumph!

However, it wasn’t long before trans activists started accusing Joyce of claiming that transgenderism is a conspiracy funded by “shadowy” Jewish billionaires.
Anti-Semitism allegations were extended to others who tweeted in support of the book, including David Baddiel, author of Jews Don’t Count, a book about how people ignore the history of anti-Semitism, and Times Columnist David Aaronovitch.
This is a disgusting attack on both @HJoyceGender and @Baddiel.
There is no depth to which some people won’t sink. Vile stuff. pic.twitter.com/KiQkDE76hf

In her book, Joyce cites three billionaires, two of whom are Jewish, who have funded various transactivist activities. This apparently is all that is needed for trans activists to declare that Joyce is promoting “a global Big Pharma conspiracy funded by Jewish billionaires”.
Thinking about the accusations of antisemitism against Helen Joyce. She mentions two Jewish billionaires. She doesn’t accuse them of shadowy machinations or obvious tropes. Doesn’t mention their ethnicity.
If that’s antisemitic, is it at all possible to criticise George Soros?

Upon learning of these smears to her character, Joyce tweeted that she would consider legal action against those who did not delete their tweets.
They have to try to discredit your book as it currently is #1 in Law; #1 in LGBTQ+ & Philosophy; #1 in LGBTQ+ & Political/Social Issues; #3 in Gender Studies and after only 2 days #15 on the Best Seller list💅

I have been asked by Helen Joyce to apologise for a now-deleted tweet. I withdraw and apologise.

Feminists pointed out that these kinds of smear campaigns are commonly used against feminists, and are sadly predictable.
The way certain cowards are trying to discredit and smear @HJoyceGender with their desperate lies and pathetic guild-by-association crap was so utterly predictable and is just another streak of a malign movement that seeks to silence dissidents. #IStandWithHelenJoyce

Some activists deleted their original tweets, but continue to smear feminists, though now without directly referencing Joyce’s book.
i think it’s not the mainstream view but the secret root of gc ideology all along. pretend it’s about protecting women and girls and polite society will fight for you. antisemitism is less savory. joyce was just kind enough to bring the truth to light, in her special way.
